The post, a vestige of human passage through the landscape, defines space through its mere arrangement. It symbolises a past or present presence, evoking an archaic art between the sacred and the mystical.
Worked using the Shou Sugi Ban technique, these burnt elements create a striking contrast with the spring green and the yellow of the summer pastures, all bevelled towards the centre, shimmering across the landscape.
The four-centred spiral, like a symbolic fossil, represents the temporal flow between landscape and elements. It guides towards its heart, gradually forming a path. During dismantling, the passage of 13,122 visitors had formed a desire line, a temporary trace, itself destined to disappear.
