Like a pin planted on the hills of the commune of Ayn in Savoie, this work presents itself as a lightweight timber structure, erected in an open pastoral setting. It creates a calm atmosphere, withdrawn from the world, calling for contemplation and silence.
This chapel-cabin is sequenced by stretched and suspended pieces of wood, like a series of successive frames that break traditional architecture down into rhythmic fragments. Each timber element, suspended at varying heights, creates a progression that guides the visitor's gaze and body towards the horizon. This decomposition of the built form generates a transparency that lets the surrounding landscape penetrate the space.
The deliberately fragmented structure literally projects the visitor into the landscape, framing specific views and creating perspectives directed towards the site's remarkable features. The play of shadows cast by the suspended elements draws shifting patterns on the ground that accompany the contemplative journey.

Tel une épingle plantée sur les collines de la commune d'Ayn en Savoie, cette œuvre se présente comme une structure en bois légère, érigée dans un espace champêtre ouvert. Elle crée une atmosphère calme, en retrait du monde, appelant à la contemplation et au silence.
Cette chapelle-cabane est séquencée par des morceaux de bois étirés et suspendus, comme une série de cadres successifs qui décomposent l'architecture traditionnelle en fragments rythmiques. Chaque élément en bois, suspendu à différentes hauteurs, crée une progression qui guide le regard et le corps du visiteur vers l'horizon. Cette décomposition de la forme bâtie génère une transparence qui laisse le paysage environnant pénétrer l'espace.
La structure, délibérément fragmentée, projette littéralement le visiteur dans le paysage en encadrant des vues spécifiques et en créant des perspectives dirigées vers les éléments remarquables du site. Les jeux d'ombre portée des éléments suspendus dessinent sur le sol des motifs changeants qui accompagnent le parcours contemplatif.
